Here is a list of the most frequently asked questions. If your question has still not been addressed after reading this, please feel free to contact us at (517) 376-0935 or (866) 97-CATCH.

1. Should I bring my own fishing tackle?

That question depends on what type of charter you have scheduled. If you have scheduled a trolling charter (either walleye or salmon) then you should not bring  any tackle along. However if your charter is either a drift/cast/jig walleye or a perch trip, then you can choose to bring along whatever you think may help you to catch fish.  Keep in mind that this is only an option, and all the necessary tackle will be supplied to all customers who don't wish to bring their own.

2. Guarantee Policy

We are very confident in our ability to put fish in the boat, and guarantee fish on every single trip onto the water. If we return to the dock without a legal size target fish, regular fees will still apply, but you will be offered a  free charter within one year of the date of your first trip. Your free trip can target any species, on either Michigan of Erie, regardless of your original charter. However if the charter is cut short upon the customer's request or the start time was delayed significantly by a late arrival, normal fees will still be in effect, no matter the outcome and no additional trip shall be offered.

Guarantees are not in effect for all jigging and drift/cast walleye charters.

3. What happens in the event of bad weather?

The captain makes the final decision on all weather conditions. If the weather keeps us from fishing you will either have the choice of rescheduling, or a refund of your deposit.

4. Is alcohol allowed onboard?

Of course alcohol is allowed, but it is suggested that you drink in moderation for obvious reasons (Please try to avoid beverages in glass bottles if at all possible). Illegal drugs of any kind are not allowed under any circumstances.....DON'T EVEN ASK!!!

5. Who cleans the fish that we catch?

For all walleye and salmon charters, the captain will clean and package you fish immediately after your trip at no extra cost. Due to the extensive amount of tedious work required, perch cleaning is not included for such charters.

6. Do I need a fishing license?

Every adult in your party will need a valid fishing license. The term 'adult' varies, depending on what state we will fishing in. If we will be fishing in Michigan waters, any person 17 or over will need a license, however in Ohio, any person 16 or over will need a fishing license.

7. Is there a bathroom onboard?

Yes, our boat is equipped with a private, stand-up marine head (which is a fully functional bathroom in mariners' terms). It is always kept clean for your comfort and convenience.

8. Deposit Refund Policy

Charters must be cancelled at least 30 days prior to your scheduled date in order to receive a full refund of your deposit. All charters cancelled within 30 days of your charter will result in forfeiture of deposit money. If a charter must be cancelled due to inclement weather you will have the choice of rescheduling your date or a refund of your deposit.

9,  How many fish are we allowed to catch?

This depends on what type of charter you have scheduled. The table below shows the bag limits and size limits for the various waters that we fish. These are simply the legal bag limits, these amounts of fish are not guaranteed on every trip.
