Latest Fishing Report -
2011 in Review
Perch fishing
was great in the western basin of Lake Erie in 2011. The majority of our
charters throughout September and the first half of October provided limit
or near limit catches. The fishing was great from deep water to shallow
water, indicating that the Lake Erie Yellow Perch population is extremely
healthy. The size of the fish varied from day to day. Some days say the
average fish fell in the 7-9 inch range while others provided much larger
fish ranging from 9-12 inches. With all of the positive signs that we saw
in this past season, the Perch fishing in Lake Erie should remain strong
into the foreseeable future!
